Moonside Moth

Moonside moth in butterfly-shaped silhouette

About this puzzle

Ask people to describe what they associate with butterflies, and you will probably get an image of a sunny spring day with a beautiful monarch drifting gently on the cooling breeze. Ask the same question about moths; you are likelier to be told about holes in a favorite woolen sweater. We don't view moths with the same affection as their day-flying cousins, but they still play an essential role in our lives. The clothes-eating accusation is quite unfair.
