Returning Home to Roost

Owls returning home to their nightly roost

About this puzzle

At the end of a busy day or night spent hunting, owls usually return to a resting place called a roost. Most owls roost alone or near a nest during the breeding season. Owls return to the same spot because it's a familiar, safe location, usually situated near their hunting grounds. Somewhere that provides shelter from weather elements, they feel secure from potential predators. Some owl species roost communally, sharing a roosting area with other individuals of the same species.
