About this puzzle
Best known for his fondness and stylised depictions of cats, Steinlen's work became instantly recognisable and a firm favourite amongst fine art and feline fans alike. This poster was used by Le Chat Noir "The Black Chat", to advertise the 19th-century entertainment establishment that attracted all types of artists, from poets and actors to singers, dancers and musicians. The all-encompassing home for entertainment became the subject of this iconic Théophile Steinlen poster.
